TENDY-TEN

It’s 10:10 a.m. on October 10, 2010... conveniently abbreviated as 1010, 10/10/10. A perfect date for Number Nerds.

Me, I’m waiting for ’Leventy-Leven: 11:11 a.m. on November 11, 2011. That’s right: 1111, 11/11/11, just one year, one month, one day, one hour, and one minute from now. The suspense is killing me.

If you take 1010101010 and convert it from binary to decimal, you end up with 682. 1111111111 converts to 1023. I just thought I’d throw that in.

Oh! Today is my aunt's birthday! Thanks for the reminder! BTW, it is what they call double ten day in Taiwan. It is like their 4th of July.

@Kevin - Just so. Pop gematria. And if I were really good, I could pick apart those numbers, convert 'em to their corresponding Hebrew letters, and come up with some ridiculously deep meaning. But I'm not.

My wife and I were married on 11-11-2000. Obviously next month will be our 11th on 11-11-11. We weren't able to swing the ceremony at 11:11:11 am, so not quite perfect.

We spent our Honeymoon at the Ballastone. We were fortunate enough to meet you daughter while she worked there in 2005 & 2007.

Please pass your hello's from Greg and Vickie.

Correction - next year will be 11-11-11 - I have to layoff the scotch on Sundays!

Just heard a woman who works at a wedding chapel in Las Vegas say she was told that after 12-12-2012, it will be a thousand years before it happens again. Now I do not expect to see the next round, but correct me if I'm wrong here, isn't 01-01-2101 less than 1,000 years into the future. . .by about 909 years? Hopefully she will not quit her day (or is it night) job and go into teaching.

Y'know, 101010, in binary is, of course 42. So if you weren't paying attention Sunday, you missed the answer to life, the universe and everything.
