The saddest day.

The last of the Big Four has left us. Baby, Tiny, Matata and Hakuna. They are for the ages.

The most alive is the wildest. Not yet subdued to man, its presence refreshes him.

As quiet as cats are, sneaking from room to room on those dainty feetses, it comes as a shock to discover just how silent a house becomes without the whisper of their footsteps.

Then, of course, there's the 4 AM 90dB yowling for no apparent reason, but that's part of the package too...

My deepest condolences on the loss of your cat. Hakuna was one of a kind!

Be comforted in knowing Hakuna had a happy life. She stuck around long enough to celebrate your 60th and I was happy to see her looking well less than two weeks ago.

So sorry for your loss. Our pets become our children after the nest is empty and it is gut wrenching when thay leave us. The hardest thing I have ever had to do was to hold our two oldest cats when they departed on their last journey. God bless and may the pain of your loss be eased.

Hakuna has been a dear friend for just short of 8 years...since November 5, 2004.

All her companions still on the Ark will miss her.
